Writing your own story is a lot like learning to fly a glider. First, you need help getting your craft off the ground. Then you need someone in the pilot's seat who knows how to ride the thermals (and make it back to base before the wind quits). So, if you're not a writer and need help writing, which I find is a lot like flying that glider, I will be delighted to help. -bf |

One morning, in the misty moments before first light, Brian Faulkner awoke inspired. So he grabbed a pencil and sketched out some quick lines before they got lost in the dawn. His words eventually became Carolina Prayer, a small book of words and pictures that expressed thankfulness about our state's many blessings. It was the first book published under Our State magazine's new imprint, and readers loved it! A Second Edition of Carolina Prayer now is in process that also includes Brian's photography. |

If you've ever tried to write something that seemed like it didn't want to get written, don't feel alone. It's a dilemma that confronts most writers from time to time and makes them want to hang a sign on their typewriter that says Gone fishing! Or whatever else might do at the moment.
As long as it's not writing! I've never experienced a case of writer's block, which, of course, is an exaggeration (although not much of one). Perhaps that's why I'm so good at helping others get their writing projects cranked up. So, if you are stuck about what to write or how to write it--or just seem to have run out of gas, give me a call for encouragement, ideas and (most of all) some good words. Which is something we all can use! > Brian Faulkner |
