Twenty plus years ago, the publisher of Our State, the much loved monthly magazine about North Carolina people, places and traditions, suggested that Brian Faulkner write (and narrate) the new Our State Public TV series, adapt articles to video in keeping with the magazine's style.

It worked! Our State TV was a ratings and cultural success, and Brian Faulkner earned five Emmy awards for scriptwriting. Episodes are still being run on PBS Carolina. |
